Initial tests will involve acquiring data alongside a conventional land meter to compare the accuracy, repeatability and usability of this new technology with existing instruments. ERHC Energy Chad contracts Bridgeporth for airborne gravity and magnetic survey of BDS 2008 in Chad

ERHC Energy Chad has announced the award of a contract for acquisition, processing and interpretation of gravity/magnetic data of BDS 2008 in Chad to Bridgeporth Ltd. Bridgeporth will fly 4,720 line kilometers over BDS 2008 in southern Chad commencing in the third quarter of this year. The Block is located on the northern edge of the Doba and Doseo basin, the site of active exploration and development projects with discoveries exceeding 1,290 MMBOE. Bridgeporth’s survey will focus on two main areas: north of Esso’s Tega and Maku discoveries in the Doseo basin; and east of and on trend with OPIC’s Benoy-1 margin discovery in the Doba basin. Namibia: Hydrocarb Energy uses Bridgeporth for magnetics survey in Namibia

Hydrocarb Energy Corp has announced the start of a high-resolution gravity and magnetics survey over its exploration concession in the Owambo Basin in northern Namibia. The survey will be flown by UK-based Bridgeporth and will cover Blocks 1714A, 1715, 1814A, 1815A. The 21,200 sq km (5.3 million acre) concession extends from the northern border of Etosha Park to Angola, an area approx. the size of Massachusetts. Read the whole story here at Energy-pedia>

Bridgeporth Establishes East African Aircraft Operating Division and Maintenance Facility

Bridgeporth has recently scaled up its African headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya with the addition of a fully operational Aircraft Operating Division and Maintenance Facility. Bridgeporth can draw on wholly owned Kenyan flagged aircraft for easy deployment, data acquisition, and resupply services anywhere on the African continent. In addition to its aircraft division and maintenance facilities, it has access to a flotilla of construction and trucking partners for rapid base camp and airplane hangar establishment.
